I have New Roku Express. Can I connect it to HDMI port on my cable box , which it still working? The cable is connected to OLD Sanyo tv with S-video cable. The dvd player is connected to tv via the red, yellow, and white cables. I do not know if HDMI on cable box is in or out. It is through Suddenlink. Or on a restricted budget, do I buy a hdmi to rca converter and a splitter?

Solution
Get an HDMI input selector to expand the number of HDMI inputs on the TV. If you use any of the other inputs you won't get HD on the Roku.
Connect the cable box and Roku to the switch with HDMI. Connect the output of the switch to the TV with HDMI.
Some switchers will automatically switch but all will have a remote.

Nope.

S-Video input on TV being used. Check.

Composite Video on TV is being used. Check.

Is OUT, the cable box OUTPUT stuff, it doesn't take IN anything.

You are really pushing things by running, yes, these ancient stuff. Well sounds like your highest bandwidth connection is s-video, so I guess an HDMI to S-Video converter is in order, it it exists, and a s-video switch box to go TV-Roku.

Amazon does have hdmi to s-video/rca converter. The coverter puts out to either s-video or the 3ryw cables.
