Today I noticed my computer making a barely audible sound that reminds me of how computers sound when they're working (a bit electronic I guess? it's not grinding or anything). I have both an ssd and a HDD in this laptop- though this sound is happening pretty much constantly.
I thought that it may be a fan going bad or perhaps rattling a bit, but I'm not sure. I don't want to open it up because it's still under warranty, though I've noticed it's louder on the underside of the laptop.
Does this sound normal? Especially since it's so faint- you can only hear it when the rooms completely silent- or should I be worried? It's possible I just haven't noticed it before now and it's always been happening.

Run a fan speed monitor, push your machine and the fan should come on strong and you should hear how that sounds like. After that it's the HD. The fan normally turns at a slow speed when idle. HD noise doesn't mean it's bad nevertheless always good to keep an eye on it by running a S.M.A.R.T. monitor.

No fan monitoring app actually seems to work for me- the fans just refuse to be detected. I did check with predatorsense though (laptops an Acer Predator) and all the fan speeds seem to be around 4000 rpm when at full speed and sound normal to me.. only thing is the sound problem I mentioned completely disappears. Not there at all. Checked to make sure it wasn't just because the fans were just too loud and covering it up as well. A little after I disable full speed however it comes back.

Also, I did run tests to check the health of the HD before but everything came back okay.
