You I have a Sony handycam dcrvx vx 2100 it works perfect until I try to connect to pc there is no FireWire port only USB on the PC. I have heard that a USB that connects in camera and USB ports. Is it true? I have mini dv tapes that need editing. Plz help thx

The USB cable is for transferring pictures only. To transfer to a computer without a FireWire port you will need to use an A/V cable (Red, White, Yellow or S-Video and Red and White for audio) and a video capture device that would connect to the computer via a USB cable.
