I have a Samsung BluRay player that quit working. Its model number is HT-FM53. I want to replace the Blu Ray and keep the surround sound, but I am unsure if there is a Blu Ray player that has the speaker connectors on it. The speakers are not connected with av jacks, or HDMI. Any help would be appreciated.

Solution
Your HTiB has an HDMI input so you should be able to connect a standard BD player to it (HDMI out only no speaker connections).
You could also connect it as jsmithpa says but you would not get Dolby TrueHD lossless audio that way.
What you describe is what folks here often referred to as an HTIB, which tend to be inflexible, doesn't work nice or not at all with anything you want to add to it. Your one and only hope is, the new BluRay can be hooked up directly to TV via HDMI, and an optical connection to your HTIB, IF IT HAS ONE.
