Originally, whenever I plugged a 3.5mm audio jack into the socket, the system asked me if I wanted to use it for Input or Output. As I always used it for output, I eventually set it *always* for output.
Now, I want to configure it / change it back to the way it was, so that it asks me each time. But I can't find where to do this.
HELP!!

Solution
1. Go into "Control Panel" and then click "AutoPlay".

2. Locate the item(s) you want to make the changes to.

3. Click the drop down button to the right of the item(s) and set it to "Ask me every time". Or to whatever other option you may want.

4. When you are done making all your changes. Click the "Save" button at the bottom of the window and it should work now.

Thanks Webworking, that's good in principal, but it doesn't help. None of the "types of media or device" includes the 3.5mm audio jack. i.e. it's not a Removable drive / Camera Storage / DVD/ Blu-ray / CD / software etc.

I have the exact same problem the devices tab only show previous devices, not the audio jack.
