I recently wiped a Dell Inspiron 3847 computer and certain drivers seem to have been erased - most importantly, the network driver. I've downloaded a couple different driver managers from my laptop to the desktop via USB drive, since the Dell website apparently doesn't have the driver for the 3847, but those drive installers are impossible to finish downloading since they require an internet connection on the desktop. Which is what I am trying to get by downloading the driver. I'd really appreciate it if someone offered another course of action, since I've kind of run out of ideas. (Sorry this isn't really a laptop problem; I couldn't find an option for general computer stuffs)

Go to the official dell website to download the drivers. Use a different computer/laptop to put them in a USB/CD and use that in your dell computer to install drivers. For starters just download the network related drivers from the other system, install them on your dell system and download other drivers directly.

Again, the Dell website doesn't have any drivers for the Inspiron 3847, but I did some more searching in the morning, and found the network driver on some other website so I can download a driver manager to get everything in proper working order. The link to download it is right here if someone with the same problem needs it. Thanks for the help anyways, guys.

I have just fixed my problem with the driver from

http://www.dell.com/support/home/au/en/aubsd1/product-support/product/inspiron-3847-desktop/drivers

Copied to a Flash Drive from the Linux half of my dual boot Linux/Windows and then installed on the Win side of things.

Spent all day finding this but 100% OK.
