Hi, I've got a new Sony TV and it has an input on the back that says "remote rs232c." Rather than put an IR blaster on the front of the TV so it can be controlled by my universal remote, I thought I could get a 3.5mm male-male stereo cable and go directly from the IR blaster console to this input jack. Doesn't seem to work.
Are these two entirely separate beasts? What I had hoped was to avoid putting the IR blaster on the front of the TV, it's a bit of an eyesore.
