Good afternoon folks,

I've bought the aforementioned laptop about a week ago and thought it all to be fine, however there's something bugging my mind regarding the graphics cards present in this model: the Intel HD 5500 and the Geforce 930M

Suposedly the 930M is a dedicated graphics card while the HD 5500 is simply and integrated one. However when I disable the HD 5500 from the "Device Manager" window, I get much much worse results than with the HD 5500 turned on

I tried running some benchmarks just to see what scores I'd get with both cards turned on and with one of each turned on. The benchmarks didn't even mention the existece of the 930M as you can see in the links below:

UserBenchmarks: Game 14%, Desk 35%, Work 21%
CPU: Intel Core i5-5200U - 41.9%
GPU: Intel HD 5500 (Mobile 0.95 GHz) - 5.7%
HDD: Toshiba MQ01ABD100 1TB - 55.8%
RAM: Samsung M471B1G73QH0-YK0 1x8GB - 29.4%
MBD: Toshiba SATELLITE L50-C

UserBenchmarks:
CPU: Intel Core i5-5200U - 33.3%
HDD: Toshiba MQ01ABD100 1TB - 59.7%
RAM: Samsung M471B1G73QH0-YK0 1x8GB - 26.9%
MBD: Toshiba SATELLITE L50-C

I then tried doing the same tests with Passmark's Benchmark tool but the resuts were about the same, the only difference being that some DX tests didn't run because it got m the following error on DX9 test:

As for running Passmark DX12 test with only the 930M turned on, I had to close the test as I was getting 1 FPS so you can guess I wasn't going to stand here and wait for it to finish

Bottom line, what gives? Is this normal behaviour from a dedicated vs integrated graphics card? Is the 930M that weak? Is Intel's integrated card putting Nvidia to shame? Any input will be highly apreciated :)
