I got this laptop in January of this year, and it worked fine until a couple of weeks ago. I noticed that a select few keys here and there on the keyboard (lower left CTRL key, the tilde key under ESC, 5 and 6, -, + and delete buttons) suddenly stopped working. I noticed that if I pressed down on the laptop near the upper left of the mousepad that the keys would work properly, but once I stop applying pressure there it immediately stops working. I know this is a hardware issue, but was wondering if it was possible for me to identify what would cause something like this. The laptop is still under warranty so I was going to bring it in for repairs later next week, but don't want to take it apart until then.

If it is that new and giving you those kinds of problems, contact the manufacturer as it is under warranty.
