hi i have an asus k 53u laptop. its a fairly older laptop but not too old. It runs kinda slow right now, i just put a clean install of windows 10 on it and did the creators update as well and i keep the HDD defragged every week. im just wondering if there is anyway to speed it up as i am not wanting to get a brand new laptop as this current point in time.

Which HDD variant do oyu have in there? The 750GB and 500GB variants were available in a 7200rpm drive, but there were also 750, 640, 500 and 320GB HDD variants which were all 5400rpm - that'll show a noticeable slowdown over time.
If you're running a 5400rpm, you could simply upgrade the HDD. While a 7200rpm would show some speed gains, an SSHD or even an SSD outright would improve your overall speed quite a bit.
Dual core and max 8GB RAM though.........so it's not going to work miracles and make it the snappiest laptop ever, but would definitely show some overall speed improvements .
