My friend's budget is 1000$, but they can go up to 1500$ if need be. I keep looking but I don't like any of the laptops from 2017 or 2016 that I see and I am more versed in desktop's and hardware than laptops as a whole.
The number 1 thing they care about is a fast SSD and I was hoping for
i7-6700 or 7700
gtx 1060 (or 1070 if budget allows)
good battery life
good build quality
good cooling although I am suggesting they get a cooling pad so keep that in mind if it helps.
good sound.
I don't think they need an over abundance of Usb ports and the resolution is fine at 1080p.
