Hello,

I was cleaning my laptop from dust and rust inside and this is not the first time i do it.

But this time was different, i finished cleaning it and plugged the keyboard as usual, i turned on the laptop and the keyboard was not typing i started clicking on buttons all and it started writing, i just restarted it after and then the buttons 4 r f v didnt work anymore, i did registery thing, i uninstalled and installed driver, i unplugged and plugged the keyboard to mother board and nothing worked, i put another keyboard of another laptop plugged it and well! The buttons worked! I tried again with laptop's keyboard and didn t work again! So the prob i recognized that it was from the keyboard but how and what happened? It was all fine before can it be fixed!

Laptop: toshiba c 850 model

When you updated the keyboard driver, did you actually delete it first and reboot before the reinstall or just update it? If you only updated it, then it may not have resolved its problem. Try deleting the keyboard driver, reboot the computer without reinstalling it, and it should install on its own when it restarts.

You can also try updating the Synaptics driver. If that doesn't help, then you may well need a new keyboard.
