Hi,
I'm having some problems with my laptop. Yesterday I was doing some data backup and went to another room for a while. When I came back the laptop was off. I thought that maybe I plugged charger wrong and the battery is dead, but surprise. It wasn't a battery... firstly nothing worked. clicking a power button did nothing with charger + battery, only battery or only charger. Then after doing some research I tried to release static charge. So I've pressed power button for few minutes with battery off and I hoped it worked. So I put my battery and charger back, pressed power button and... the power button light turn on for a second and went off. the led on front was also blue. So I've pressed again and again with same result. And after forth press all the lights went down and don't want to come back unless I do the trick with "releasing the static charge".
What may cause this add behaviour?
Thanks for any help, I appreciate it :)

See if the lights come up as a patter on Dell's support site, often the pattern of lights give a clue about where the issue is.

Unless you have a dead screen, sounds like a motherboard issue. Luckily that model should be under $100 for a working system, if you want to use the same...

I tired. It didn't help :/ I even tried to run it without ram or hdd. no success... And it doesn't go to bios. Nothing happens just the lights. I just don't understand how it could die just like that. There wasn't big load, drop of voltage or something...
