Hi

I am setting up a tv for my bedroom. I would like the sound to resonate from behind the bed (the bed is far from the tv and I don't want to keep the volume extra loud) and I'd prefer to use inwall or cieling speakers. I'd also like to do this by connecting directly to the tv without the need for an amp or receiver. I don't need surround sound or anything fancy, I simply want to watch tv at a normal volume.

Any ideas on what tv/speaker/accessories are needed to make this work?

There has to be an amplifier somewhere to be able to drive the speakers
Unless your TV has speaker terminals (older ones did) you will need an external amplifier.
A TV headphone jack will probably not provide enough power to drive the speakers loud enough but you can try it if your TV has one.
Most TVs have a fixed optical audio output so you would need something like this
