I have purchased a Black ink cartridge for my HP 5520 from both Amazon and Walmart this year and neither one works. It shows ink on the screen but not on the test page. I have talked with a co-worker and he said he had the same problem...went to office supply store and they tested all the same cartridges they had on the floor and none of them worked, Sounds like a huge manufacturing issue and I want my money back. HP is better than this, but I am not seeing anything on the internet about a recall. Any help would be appreciated. This is a first for me and this printer, but it appears to be a problem with history...and yes, they were both HP brand cartridges, not refurbished.

Unfortunately you are in a tough spot....

What you may be able to do is return the existing cartridges for a refund and purchase from some other source.

Maybe an office supply store or computer store.

Many such products are produced as cheaply as possible sans any real attempts at QA.

Could well be that the cartridges purchased to date were counterfeit or misrepresented as new to Amazon/Walmart. Or someone switched "shipments". Unlikely that anyone in either company's supply chain would be able to detect such activities.

Go to HP's website: Check the FAQs and visit the forums. Voice your concerns. Perhaps someone at HP will be able to provide some guidence or a known solution.

HP knows that they will not succeed if post...
