Stream from PC to my TV

Is it possible to stream from my PC to my "smart" PHILIPS TV? Or does it require any additional software or hardware? I guess you probably need at least some software or somewhere where you upload your stream... If you do need any software please links.. Thank you

Many TVs able to stream stuff from LAN by itself would have a thing called DLNA, consult manual if available. Windows 7 and later have DLNA server built-in, just needs to be configured.
