spilled drink over my asus and now got problems

so yesterday i spilled 1/3 of cola over the laptop part where then numbers where, i quickly turned it upside down and held the power button and unplug the charger, i let it sit upside down for a short time but then i did a stupid thing in panic i tryed to power it back on and it couldn't
i took down the keyboard and saw only tiny bit of liquid was on the hard drive and dvd drive but not a tiny drop of drink was on the motherboard, i took out the hard drive cleaned everything and put it back in, i tryed the hard drive by connecting it on my friends laptop and it worked, today afternoon i tryed to power it on without a battery some lights would turn on, the red light on battery etc but then it shut down 3 seconds after, i tryed to do it agin without dvd drive and ram memory the same thing happened, am frustrated because the laptop is brand new and am hoping that someone can give me some ideas to see what can i expect, am planing to take it to the shop but want to see if there is anything i can do before that, the laptop was Asus x555l intel i7 8gb ram nvidia geforce 940m
please... am really hoping the motherboard kinda survived if it showed 3 seconds of life lol
