Hello there, fellow community users.

I ran into a bit of a problem during my installation of Linux to my Aspire Switch 10 E, which is a pretty bad computer in general but I mainly use it for writing, etc. So, here's the thing. I tried installing Linux on the only hard drive the computer has, which is a 60 GB SSD. The problem is that, even though I've installed the OS to the SSD I cannot boot from it. I can only boot from an USB or external hard drive, which I've made bootable via a live USB creator. Also, I can't find a boot option for the SSD in boot menu.

I've tried, making several different partitions on the SSD to make it work. This is supposedly to be the correct partition layout of the SSD to make it boot.
1st Partition:
- Size: 6GB
- Mount: /
- File system: Ext4
2nd Partition:
- Size: 54 GB
- Mount: /home
- File system: Ext4
... And also a third partition of all the varieties with:
- Size: 500 MB
- File system: EFI

I really don't know how to make it work, I've tried following different methods from different threads, but nothing seems to work.

Since none of these threads are specified to help me, I figured I'll just make a thread of my own and see if any of you professionals would be so kind to help me out.

Thanks in advance! :)

Does not sound like you are installing this properly, why are you changing the partitions? If you don't need any original files saved, run the Linux setup, when you get to the disk section, delete all partitions, select default setup after that. Should install and boot fine after that.
