Speaker membrane ruined?

I have a pair of kipsch speakers, i played them loud at a party, and suddenly the membranes on them stopped vibrating. Whats wrong?

1. You blew some component in the circuitry
2. You popped the actual cone
3. Bad cable(s)
4. Your system is no longer putting out any signal.
5. You selected Mute

Any of the above.

Hook another pair of speakers up and see if they work. If they do, your speakers are toast. If they don't work then you need to see if any signal is going into your amp. If there is, then your amp is toast. If not, then you need to find out why there's no signal going into your amp.

One of the speakers worl fine (i think) but one of them doesnt play as loud as the other, and the membrane doesnt work. The reciever turns off when i put it over -15

That speaker is toast, and the receiver is shutting down due to excessive current trying to drive it.
