Space bar, enter key, rught shift key but you get ///, left shift key you get '''''', backspace working, certain letter keys working others not, caps working with keys that work, some numbers working, hit 7 and Windows Media comes up with NUM LOCK

try using an external USB keyboard. If you still have the issue it is something software related causing the issue. If it doe NOT do the same with the External keyboard, then there is an issue with the keyboard on the laptop and it will need to be replaced.

We did hook up an external keyboard and it is working so now we know what the problem is. Thank you so much. Now we just have to check prices and reviews for a new laptop ~ keyboard on this one cannot be replaced.
