Note :
I have already found a possible laptop to buy, but since It's my first time buying a laptop I'm not entirely sure if it's good or not, it's listed in bottom of the post.

1. What is your budget?
My budget is at max $600.

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
I'm looking for a 15 inch one, it cannot be any smaller.

3. What screen resolution do you want?
The laptop needs to have a screen resolution of at least 1920x1080.
This can also not be any smaller.

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Not entirely sure what the difference is, but from what it sounds like a desktop replacement is bulkier than a portable one?
If I'm correct I'd prefer a desktop replacement, but I don't think that matters as long as my other needs are "filled in".

5. How much battery life do you need?
This does not matter since I will be able to charge it most of the time. (Anything above 4 hours is probably fine)

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
I probably won't be playing any released games, however I will be developing my own games.
They won't have any advanced graphics, all I need is modern OpenGL support on the graphics card/built in graphics.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
I will be using this laptop to mainly compile and write code using the IDE/application Visual Studio 2015 which eats quite a lot of resources, while running that I will probably also have 10-15 tabs open in google chrome, and sometimes (or rarely) I might have Photoshop open for a few minutes too (also at the same time as the other things).

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
I will need at least 1 terabyte (1000 gigabytes, give or take 200 GB).

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
I think any site should work fine as long as it has shipping to Sweden.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
I'd like for it to keep up for at least 4 years, however I don't know if that is even close to possible on this budget.

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
I do not need a optical drive at all.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
I need it to have windows 10 installed by default. Which means no Apple products.

13. What country do you live in?
I live in Sweden.

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
Would be nice (but not required) to have some sort of HDMI or displayport.
Would also be good to have a USB-2.0 or higher port.
I will be using it over wifi so no network cable ports are needed.

More extra info :

I have been looking at this laptop which seems to have a good price as well as decent specifications and seems to meet all my requirements :
HP Notebook 15-AY011NR
Maybe you people have some opinions about it? Or maybe have a better suggestion on a laptop.

That does look pretty good, I'll consider that one. However if the other, cheaper one can get the job done I'll probably get that one anyways, unless there's a huge boost in performance.
And that's usually the case when it comes to AMD vs Intel. (Except for AMD's newest CPU series, that does seems pretty nice actually)

For multi-tasking a quad core CPU is preferable to dual core CPU. But I suppose it depends on how "hardcore" your multi-tasking is going to be. I have a laptop with a dual core i5-4200u CPU. The most intensive multi-tasking I have done on it is playing a game while encoding video. Games may or may not be very CPU dependent, it depends on the specific game. But encoding video is most definitely CPU dependent. I take a performance hit in games while encoding video, but the performance loss is generally acceptable pending on the game I am playing. Doing the same thing on my other laptop with a quad core i5-6300HQ results in less performance loss.

AMD will not be releasing APUs based on the new Zen architecture until mid / late 2017 so for now AMD APUs are a distant second.

If you think a dual core CPU is good enough for your needs, then the following HP laptop with an i5-6200u for $460 seems to be a very good deal. It has a 6th gen Intel CPU, but the performance difference between it and a 7th gen dual core i5 CPU is very small.
