Hi! So I was given an old receiver from a friend, and at the newly house I have bought there were already speaker for surround sound (JVC) but there went a receiver so I had to get one. So, I just got one and it is pretty old and it does not have a HDMI port on the receiver (JVC RX-7V). So, how do I connect the reviever to my Vizio HDTV, for surround sound. Please help ASAP!

You can get the audio from your tv to come through the amp, but as getohkn said, you will NOT get surround sound. You might get a slight quadrophonic stereo sound if you linked up 4 speakers using both groups of speakers, thats about it! And the only way of you to get the audio from your tv - from what i can see - is by using the headphone line out (if it has one) A 3.5mm jack to 2x phono should do the trick.
