Can i create an affordable 7.1 sound system for movie on PC by the following:
1. Set up Xonar DSX 7.1 Sound card on PC's mainboard.
2. Connect Logitech Z906 to Front L/R; Center/Sub; Surround L/R on Xonar DSX 7.1.
3. Connect Logitech Z623 to Rear Surround L/R on Xonar DSX 7.1.
Below is diagram done by myself for your reference:

Solution
technically "yes".

the only issue with doing it as such would be that the second subwoofer would fire with the rear speakers which might sound odd. (it fires based on a stereo signal to the speakers not seperately like in 5.1 systems). you could turn the subwoofer volume and passthrough knobs to minimum which should help minimize any such issues though.

if you already have the speaker sets and soundcard you should be okay although i would NOT go out and purchase the sets to do this as entry level home theater systems are a better choice (though of course would cost a bit more than what you're dealing with as well)
