A
Audio output of the TV connects to the receiver. If the TV and receiver both have ARC then you can use that connection with an HDMI cable. If not then you usually have optical audio output on most TVs.
If you have a cable box that will have audio output too.
Check the instructions on the TV and receiver for how to get it working.
