how can my mic work on facbookviedo calling

it says it works when i go and test it but when i video call off facbook or anything it doesnt can this be fix its a built in mic

Open Control Panel and click Hardware & sound. Then click Sound and select the Recording tab. Right-click the microphone that is currently used to bring up the context menu. Select Properties and then the Levels tab. Under this tab you can move 2 sliders that affect microphone quality and reception.
