Hello!
My computer has recently begun failing to run its internet connection, whether through its normal Ethernet cord or through its WiFi card.
I've tried resetting the adapter connection multiple times, and that occasionally works for a short time before it stops working again. The same thing goes for restarting the computer, sometimes the connecting starts working again, sometimes not. The annoying thing is that it shows no problems with either connection (ethernet cord or WiFi) and fails to find anything wrong with itself. Essentially, it says it's connected and fine, but none of my programs that require an internet connection work (Chrome, Firefox, Steam, Battle.net, Adobe Cloud, etc.)
It's not the internet itself or the router or the ethernet cord (otherwise the computer's WiFi connection would at least work). Other items that use WiFi on my network connect with no problems (phone, tablet, laptop).
It's a PC Desktop running Windows 10 and I have not added anything new to it recently. I've found a lot of subjects regarding computers that won't connect at all to the internet, but none with the problem of connecting "with no problems" but not actually working.
I'd appreciate any help with this issue that I could get.

Edit* List of things I've tried
Disabling the Ethernet cord to run WiFi only
Disabling the WiFi card to run Ethernet cord only
Restarting (occasionally works and lets me run from anywhere to 5 minutes to a couple of days)
Resetting the internet adapter (occasionally works, but probably for the same reason as restarting, since reset requires a restart)
Letting the computer attempt to troubleshoot the connection (doesn't find anything wrong and stays in checking limbo status for an hour, which is the longest I've let it run before stopping).
Turning off my antivirus firewall software (AVG) to see if it was interfering somehow (it wasn't).
