Hello

My MicroSd stopped working correctly a few days ago making my samsung android phone useless since it has 16 gb of space. A friend gave me a MicroSD card since he works at a computer center and many people forget them and most of them dont reclaim them. I was reading an article on how can people make hardware into spyware. I formatted it using the phone then i formatted it using an usb adapter in windows 10. Formatted the phone so i can start on a clean OS and then inserted it. The Sd card is slower than the one i used. I usually dont use portable storage unless is new and i bought it but i am low on money, just wanted to know if should worry.

Solution
I wouldn't worry about it.

Malicious software can be placed onto all sorts of storage media, but the number of people who are able to do this is low.
Either way you formatted it, it's fine.
