Hi!

I would like to know if it is possible to use Teamviewer (free/private license) to remote to your desktop computer at work and from there login to the local domain on a Windows Server 2012/2016 Essentials profile which lacks native support for Remote Desktop Host Service/Session?

If I could control a desktop computer at the office, could not Teamviewer be a solution to make access your active directory profile from home then or will the Teamviewer connection be kicked out when logging into the local domain?

The essential editions of Windows Server suits the needs perfect except the thing with being able to remote the office from home.

I´m grateful for any input!

Regarding Essentials 2012 it does not even have the Remote Desktop Session Host functionality as far as I understand. I think its the same with Essentials 2016. If you mean the "Access Anywhere" function, I think that is only for reaching files etc, but you cannot start and work with programs locally installed on the server as far as I understand. Or am I wrong here? That is a key functionality here, we need to be able to start programs and work with them as the remote desktop functionality does.

It is the lack of Remote Desktop functionalities that is the problem with the Essential editions, except that they fit the needs just perfectly.
