I recently factory reset my laptop (first time), and now the laptop has ran into some serious issues that weren't present before the reset. I purchased this laptop around 2012-2013 and it's been perfectly fine until the reset.

Every 5-20 minutes my laptop would shut down without warning.

I updated all drivers
Temperatures are okay
Reseated the ram
Removed the battery
Reset it again
All the mentioned options didn't' fix the problem.

As I haven't messed with the hardware much, it seems like the issue is software related.

Along with random shut downs, I would experience lag and glitches in areas that weren't existent before the reset. Whenever I resize or drag a window around, it's delayed, the resizing and dragging can't keep up with the cursor (cpu usage spikes up, from ~10 to ~40-60%). However, after a while it normalizes and the lag is gone, but, reappears when I visit sites like youtube. The browser would also glitch to extreme extent, where it becomes unusable for a solid minute, then it normalizes (tested on IE and Firefox), and when I click on a video or any related youtube link the lag returns and the cycle continues.

I'm running an Intel 4700qm and 780m, the integrated gpu is a 4600. The laptop came with Windows 8, however Windows 10 autmatically installs after the reset (I upgraded to Windows 10 before the reset and it was also fine).

Any feedback would be most appreciated.
