Can I use "Sure" app on my iPhone any way without connecting to the wifi?? Moreover, can I use it without connecting to the black device that it showed I need to buy (whatever it called, it would cost me a bit of bucks to get it and via AMAZON) ????????

I saw my friend the other day used his android Samsung S6 with 'Sure' without seeing him physically carrying anything with him.

PS: I come to my assumption he didn't carry one because why would he carry one and connect to all the school air-con anw?? *It's-not-tiny-as-well"

The "Sure" app works on phones which have a built-in Infra-Red (IR) blaster, no other hardware device is required if that is the case.

However, if your phone does not have built-in Infra-Red blaster you will need to buy a WiFi-to-IR converter such as the one made by Broadlink.

For the Sure app for iOS (eg iPhones) it clearly says on the app page:

"** A BROADLINK WIFI TO IR CONVERTER IS NEEDED TO USE THIS REMOTE CONTROL APP **"

I assume that's because iPhones (even the iPhone 6) do not have an IR blaster:

U're right. Thank you so much. Now I know that the device (the phone) needs what is known as 'IR Blaster' to use the sure app without Broadlink.

But how about my friend though? Surely I haven't seen him carried one along with him (Broadlink) and plus if he does, how does he get the wifi connection from for both his S7 and Broadlink?? *he-was-using-it-at-school--and-we-don't-have-access-to-their-wifi-connection*

PS: I'm pretty sure his device device does not come with an IR Blaster too.
