Hello,
Currently i have a Msi GE70 2PE Apache Pro and i am looking to drop a SSD into it. Im somewhat new to upgrading parts in a laptop and dont know what SSD to buy. Currently looking at:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TGIVVKU/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
or
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LYFKJR7/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1FF9ODJZIUKGX
Are these the correct type i should be looking at? IF not can you tell me what i should be looking for?
Thank you in advance.

According to reviews, it has a slot for a regular 2.5" HDD (1TB?) and it should also have an empty mSATA slot, which the drive in your first link in your post would fit into. I would then put your OS and other often used programs on the SSD, and reformat the 1TB HDD to use as a storage drive.

You could pull the battery, then remove the three screws holding the access panel on the bottom, remove the panel, and eyeball the innards just to make sure. :D

I am no expert when it comes to SSDs, but if memory serves, the Samsung EVO 850s have always gotten glowing reviews. Very highly regarded. So my answer would be yes.

But someone more experienced with them will hopefully chime in with their opinions.
