Hi,
I am currently having issues with my Asus K555la laptop, and it is not charging. It was doing fine and one day it just decided to stop charging. This happened before but it somehow got fixed after a few reboots. This time however the problem is somehow still here and I really need help fixing it. This laptop's battery is sealed in and can't be removed, and I did a system restore and it did not fix the issue at all. My socket is functioning properly and my cable does not have any damage or tears from the looks of it. I also realized that the battery is staying at the same percentage as long as I don't unplug it, as I plugged in during the entire system restore and the battery stayed at 96%. The battery is not dropping insanely fast when unplugged, so I don't think that my battery is faulty or dying. Is there any other possible causes beside the cable?

Update : somehow my laptop is still receiving some power even though it says not charging.

Solution
In a Windows system, it sometimes helps to go into Control Panel>Device Manager and expand the Battery section of the list. Right click each of the entries in turn and select Uninstall.

Restart the computer and see if they come back in a better frame of mind.
