Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a certain amp/headphone amp design in DIY board form. Basically I'm looking for a fairly low wattage amp for driving bookshelf speakers, but with a headphone out as well. It's for a project computer desk. This is pretty much what I'm looking for, but I need the ability to add my own off board volume pot, headphone jack and power button:

Dayton Amp

Board Design

With something like this, I can mount the volume control & amp power button on a panel on the desk, as well as have a headphone jack to use on the panel as well. I haven't found anything like that unfinished so far...does anyone know of something similar, or have advice on how to piece together my own?

Thanks

Parts Express has a large selection on boards and modules that would let you build what you want.
You could have a separate amp for the heaphones and speakers or just wire a headphone jack that would cut off the speakers when you plugged in the phones. A switch would work too.
If you contact them they should be able to help you. Nice folks.

I was considering that...like having an amp for the speakers out the back of the motherboard, and then using a appropriate amp for the headphones separately. I would rather have one board do it all though, and don't really know how you could add a headphone jack to an existing amp that would cut off the speakers.

I'll try asking someone at Parts Express as well. Thanks for the suggestion.
