No sound from ikon projector when using Netflix app on the PS3

Question from Sofa king : "Ikon projector to ps3"
I bought an ikon projector 400. I hooked up my PS3. Now the projector has speakers however when I play any games the sound usually cuts out 20 mins (roughly) if I use the YouTube app on the PS3 it seems to work ( wasn't on it for very long how ever ) but if I use the Netflix app there is no sound whatsoever. Do I need to purchase speakers for the projector ? There are audio inputs on the back. Will there be sound If I do purchase will playing games or watching movies ?
