Hi. I have a Western Digital MY TV Live Media player and the remote from it finally broke. I'm assuming I need some type of Universal remote now? I don't require many bells and whistles so a cheap remote will probably suffice but I do need it to be able to do the things that the original remote could do, which wasn't much. Obviously I'd need the new remote to be able to turn on the Media player and press play/stop and fast forward/rewind but I also need to be able to turn on subtitles, access the media players options menu and also the old remote has an eject button that ejects the connected media source (portable HDD) safely so I need that too.

Hey thanks for the reply. Yea I thought about just getting a replacement remote if I could find one. The one you linked isn't the same as the one I have although it may work just the same. I can look for mine or just order it from Ebay because I know they have it for sure.

The thing is that I actually wouldn't mind having an all in one remote to control my TV, the Cable Box and the Media player. Also the original remote from the media player is small and not very good.

I saw the Logitech remote you mentioned. It's $50 for a new one on Newegg and $40 for a refurbished. It looks good to me and it has a screen which is pretty neat I guess. I'm not sure if it has an eject button though. I'd assume it would considering they say it's compatible with like 10 thousand different things.

Is the logitech harmoy the only one you know of or just the only one you'd recommend?

Oh also I didn't even think about the Android thing. I do have a Motorola G smartphone maybe I should try it. At the very least I'd be able to watch my stuff until I got my new remote.
