Mom is 91, and can't/won't learn a converter remote. I'm looking for a 19" set that will pull in our digital channels without the converter box. - possibly Samsung UN19F4000. CNN or Spectrum just pulled the analog signal, and that's her favorite entertainment . . .

Solution
If you get a TV with an ATSC digital tuner and connect an antenna to it she can get a number of HD channels for free.
Some folks don't realize how hard new instructions are to absorb for some older people. If she is comfortable with the single remote that the Samsung has then fine. I got a simplified universal remote for a relative that has only 5 buttons (power, channel up/down. volume up/down).

It's a bit tricky to program but she has one for each TV and never has any problems with accidental button pushes screwing things up. This one can be programmed to work with a converter...

Don't know about other countries but here in England all our digital telly, both freeview and subscription services, comes through co-ax cable. It's all digital TV now, analog services were switched off several years ago.

Mind you, I don't see what your post has to do with the title you gave it - - lol
