how to power a 200w amp board from a car battery .the amp board needs 12-0-12 volt but the car battery only has two terminals.i think the amp of car battery that is 32 amp will not damage the pcb because it needs only 2amp .kindly send me some ideas.

I am not there and don't know what am "looking" at but will take a guess that 12-0-12 means this is a 3 prong power plug, so without further input I guess the two 12s are simply two different rails (I don't know how to explain RAIL but it's a power supply terminology) so you should be able to take the single battery +12 and hook up to BOTH 12.

Now I don't know and you did not disclose whether this is a car amp component which tend to have, besides the main 12 volt supply (switched by ACC on key), another 12v input for "always on" or 12 input is a remote trigger.

Always have a fuse when dealing with car's hi amperage battery.

the amp is not a car amp itz a 200 watt home theater board. thatz why it needs a 12-0-12 volt supply. ie
+12 , -12 and ground . while using a center tapped 12 volt transformer its easy to connect. but little confused about car battery.thinking to connect the +12 and -12 to positive terminal and negative to ground. will it work.

OH!

Then you need TWO 12 volts batteries, hook them up this way:

(P1)(-)Batt1(+)--tie to--(-)Batt2(+)(P2)

P1 goes to -12
P2 goes to +12
"tie to" is Ground.

If you are actually doing this is in a car... uh how to get a second battery in there gonna be your next chanllege.

center tapped 12volt transformer means a 24v transformer with two 12 v out with center ground ie both the 12v out are +ve . in the amp board after the bridge circuit both the +12 v are distributed to different channels.and the ground to common. so if i connect both the +ve in the pcb to the +ve of battery and ground to negative will it do.
