Hi, I'm using Display port outputs in my Video Card for video in monitors that doesn't have speakers, I use the HDMI output from the same video card to send audio signal (in 5.1) to a receiver.
The problem is that I could only do this by creating an extra monitor in Exhibition Configs in windows and this is causing me some problems. If I remove the extra monitor Windows simple deactivate the hdmi output (for video AND audio).
The question is: could I use HDMI output just for sending PC audio to receiver without creating a new monitor on windows?

PS: I can't use analog output because I need 5.1 sound.

I can´t use this because I use 3 monitors (on 3 display ports at my VGcard) and receiver has only 1 output.
Well, i could use HDMI output on receiver to send video for 1 of the 3 monitors, but receiver output is already connected to a TV (that I use for other purposes).
