Hi, I am having a problem with my laptop, it keeps shutting down, as soon as i login or when the windows start up appears.
Basic Details :
Sony VAIO model SVE151A11W
Windows 7 Home Basic
Intel Core i5
Approximately 400 GB in total 38GB of free space
4GB RAM Memory
AMD Radeon HD 7650m Graphic card
1 Month ago the laptop screen broke, I use a small LG Flat Screen, i connected it to the laptop and "blindly" activated the screen. 3 days ago i was using my laptop normally when it suddenly shutdown, I pressed the power button it shutdown at windows startup, it happens in 1 of those 3 stages user login, windows startup and the system power up, which is when i press the power button it shuts down immediately.
Right now I have no money to replace parts, format, or buy a new laptop.
3 things to keep in mind, the laptop screen is broken & the LG screen only displays at the user login stage, it doesn't display as soon as i turn my laptop on. 3rd is that when I tried to startup the laptop I successfully loged in and started terminating unnecessary startup applications as soon as I plugged Ethernet the laptop shutdown immediately, unfortunately my network adapter is damaged so wireless is impossible this happens in 3 ways if I plug my charger, HDMI or Ethernet cable, sounds impossible or in other words "supernatural". I suspect windows files to be corrupted or the laptop just... ran out of life span.
I ignored this problem this for 3 days mainly because of the many problems i've encountered with this laptop in its history.
The laptop is 6 Years old, I bought it in 2011 Factory new.
With that said I am kinda amazed and a little proud this laptop took "Physical" damage, software and all. it kept running all these years but i doubt they would affect this situation. because those events happened 4 years ago and they were solved.
I hope the information i provided is useful and thank you all.

Solution
Sorry to hear that,...some suggestions but not sure if it will works:

1. use AC adaptor to ensure power supply is not interrupted, may be it's yr battery is dying.
2. as you said, you reached to the point of login, instead of hooking with internet right away, first go to control panel to admin to startup page setting, uncheck those you think that are useless, you may need to restart to takes effect.
3. double check yr ethernet setting, you may need to uninstall & reinstall, if this is the case, make sure, according to manufacture, is it software download/ install first OR hardware connection first ? then set up the ethernet once again. Seems to me yr Windows crash may corrupted the ethernet setup...just a guess
4. Windows itself may be...

4. Windows itself may be corrupted, go to safe mode when windows starts, F8 i think is the key for SONY, then go to Cmd prompt ( MS button-Command Prompt, when you see the DOS black screen, type: sfc /scannow (please note there is a space between sfc and /) this should fix corruptted Windows files.
5. If you have another computer, download a antivirus and run it, it may be virus, do a complete one, may takes 3 hours, but it's worth it. Good luck
