If I use my earphone, the sound works perfectly fine whenever I play video, music, websites, and games.

When I use laptop speaker, the sound randomly reduces to mute and I can't increase the volume once it's muted. This only happens when I play games on my laptop.

have any of you guys come across the same problem?

I tried to uninstall Sound driver in Device Manager and uninstall the latest Window 10 update, but none of these solutions seem to work

Really appreciate if you could help me to solve this issue

The fact that it doesn't happen when listening to sounds, in the speakers, with anything other than games still makes me curious.

If it was the hardware, or something system wide, then it should happen no matter what you are listening to. Music, videos, games, etc.

Now it could also be through a third party program, that is used by the games. However I don't know what particular program it would be.

All the settings for games are fine, the sound problem only arises when I use laptop speaker. If I use my earphone, it works perfectly.

Anyway, I tried to uninstall and tick delete option for the sound driver under Sound, Video and Game Controllers this time, and it worked!! However , I have to complete this step everytime before playing game otherwise the problem persists. Still prefer a permanent solution though
