I have an Xbox One S which will display correctly in all resolutions on my Samsung 4k TV when the Xbox is connected directly to the TV via HDMI. When I connect the Xbox to the Onkyo NR757 and then on to the TV, it will only allow a max resolution of 720p. If I choose the 1080p or 4K resolution on the Xbox, the TV screen just shows a black screen. The only way to get the Xbox to come up again, is to due a hard reset which puts the Xbox in 640 mode. I can then set my resolution on the Xbox back to 720p and it works. If I use the video pass through feature on the NR757 the Xbox displays correctly at all resolutions. The problem is I don't have any audio except from the TV speakers because the NR757 has to be turned off for video pass through to work. Does anyone know what settings I need on the NR757 to make the Xbox work correctly at the 4K resolution while the NR757 is turned on?

I don't have that specific setup, but is there a separate audio out on the XBox you could plug into the Onkyo NR757 and then the HDMI straight to the TV?
