I imagine you've seen a ton of similar posts, so I'm sorry in advance.

Looking for a laptop in the $550CAD/400-420USD range that will be used mostly for PS, Sony Vegas, browsing and light gaming aka Dungeon of the Endless, Darkest Dungeon, older strategy games.

4GB RAM min
1080p res is not needed
Screen size 13" min
Preferably, NO touch screen
Optical drive not needed
Weight/battery life/noise/heat is not important.
I'm not sure what is better in laptops, a low end dedicated graphics card or an integrated one.
Brand is not important, as long as it's not PoS.
OS is not important, will install win 7/8 x64 if needed.

Will most likely order off websites such ass newegg.ca or tigerdirect.ca if they have a laptop that you will advise.

Basically, I want to get max out of my budget.

Please help.

Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately, neither of those two graphics chips will be very good. The Radeon R8 has suffered from poor drivers and crazy stuttering from the start, and the HD5500 was not ment fior gaming. I thing your best bet will be the Acer.
It has the festet cocked CPU and IGP with 8 GB of RAM. It only has two cores, but can make 4 threads, which means it will work with most games (although not very well).

Nothing in that range will exceed a n Intel cleareon with a 32 bit operating system. I think it's best to either save more money or condsier second hand hardware.

Just a quick example:
HP Elitebook 840 G1 Laptop Intel Core i5 4300U (1.9GHz) 8GB Memory 240GB SSD HD Graphic 4400 14.0" Window 10 Pro
https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834266304
vs
ThinkPad Laptop T420 Intel Core i5 2nd Gen 2520M (2.50 GHz) 4 GB Memory 320 GB HDD Intel HD Graphics 3000 14.0" Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit
https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA8X03G59266

Same price, yet so many different specs that I'm not sure how to compare one to another.
Help?

Goddamn, the 840 G1 got sold out...

Last list, and I'll be out of your hair.

$519 - ASUS Laptop K555LA-BH51-BL(WX) Intel Core i5 5th Gen 5200U (2.20 GHz) 8 GB Memory 1 TB HDD Intel HD Graphics 5500 15.6" Windows 10 Home 64-Bit
https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834234439

$499 - Acer Laptop E5-523-979H AMD A9-Series A9-9410 (2.90 GHz) 8 GB Memory 1 TB HDD AMD Radeon R5 Series 15.6" Windows 10 Home
https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834315656

$449 - Lenovo IdeaPad 110 80TR001DUS AMD A9-Series A9-9400 (2.40 GHz) 8 GB Memory 1 TB HDD AMD Radeon R5 Series 15.6" Windows 10 Home
https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834332511

Also, started looking at this one, but i'm not sure I want to dish out $700 for a laptop.
Acer Laptop Aspire E5-553G AMD A12-Series A12-9700P (2.50 GHz) 8 GB Memory 1 TB HDD 128 GB SSD AMD Radeon R8 M445DX 15.6" Windows 10 Home
https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834315445&ignorebbr=1

Please let me know what do you think about the three cheaper ones, how does intel HD graphics 5500 fare against Radeon R5 series?
And does the last model, Acer Aspire E5-553G, worth its $700 price tag?

Thanks.
