I want to be able to play music through my mic, and talk through the same mic at the same time
How do I accomplish this?

For instance, lets say I'm in a game and my friends want to chill with some music so I play through my mic, but I still want to talk to them at the same time as the music, how do I do this?

An unwritten rule on Tom's Hardware: You don't bump. You don't ask "Anyone" couple of hours after your first post. Noone is running shifts here (even overnight).

What you look for is called "Audio Mixer": Several inputs, one (or several) outputs. Next time you go to a club, look at the DJ' console.

You plug the mixer' output in "Line In' on your computer, and select this in your game (or in Windows) as "chat / microphone / whatever" input

On mixer' inputs:
- plug the microphone (the mixer must support microhpone' input) into one of inputs.
- plug the music source (MP3 player, phone etc) into another input
- use mixer' controls to set the levels

Expect to pay $40-50 for such a device.
