Should I clean my laptop gpu and cpu fans?

Hi, I have this gaming laptop since 2 years and half and I used it intensely for gaming and haven't noticed any heating problems or lower fps in games, it still runs as it was new. I read that it is recommended to clean your laptop's gpu and cpu fans at least every 6 months, should I try to clean it myself?

At least blow them out with a can of air or a very psi limited compressor. It can help slow aging and lower fan noise. And remember that the cooler the components are, the longer that they are likely to last.
