Key board error

As soon as I try to input anytext into my Toshiba laptop PSK 1EC-0DT00Q <es5.0> all I get is ............................
HArd drive has beeen clean and WIN 10 reinstalled

You just get a bunch of periods? My recent Toshiba satellite gave me a problem where some of the keys were replaced with "I" or some other letter. Does it give you an error message or anything at all?

No other errors just as mentioned as soon as opening a web browser, or search line periods come in drolls
