Best Streaming Laptop budget

Solution
For streaming an i5 + 1050 is what he is looking for.
Adding in the video editing now he needs an i7 + 1050 or 1060 GPU + 16gb of ram.

To do what he wants decently $1200 is expected.

You can watch deals or even OEM outlets but the sepcs of that MSI laptop is right on the money.

That is a gaming laptop. If it is used strictly for streaming, meaning having the PS4 output to a device like an Elgato, AVerMedia, or any other game capture device, then you don't necessarily need all that horsepower. Something even along the lines of an i5 will be able to handle the feed from one of those devices to stream. As for editing, you definitely want around 16GB of memory, but the video card is not necessary. Some applications like Adobe Premiere will use the GPU to render certain effects, but it will sit idle 99% of the time. As long as you don't mind longer render/output times, again, even an i5 will handle the editing of some game footage just fine.

Now, that's not to say having something more powerful isn't worth it, it will be much more versatile and the whole editing experience will flow much nicer. I am just trying to stress the face that you don't need a gaming class computer to edit and stream from a gaming console like the PS4. The extra horsepower is nice, but not necessary.

If there will be PC gaming on the laptop and streaming, then absolutely go with the quad-core i7 and dedicated GPU.
