Im having the same problem. I have a new VIZO smart cast TV and there is no COAX for the antenna. I have no desire to buy cable, but would like to watch the free channels and need a 3rd party converter box?

Need to buy an ATSC tuner for serial, and QAM capable if the cable service provider is still sending you unencrypted channels.

If you want some additional options you can get a tuner with PVR functions with an external hard drive. There are some with more than one tuner built in. The best and most expensive ones are the Tivo and Channel Master units.
