I have the 5 speakers from an old, dead, home theater system. They are the ones with the two wires you had to put into the clips on the back of the system. I would like to use them with my new TV (link below). I guess what I am looking for is some way to connect them to something that can connect them to my TV. There must be a way, but I just can't word the search terms right to get a result that looks like it works. Thanks in advance

Solution

Of course there is a way, but I hope ur not expecting it to be free.

If TV has an analog headphone out, the popular inexpensive Lepal amplifier should do the job, for stereo.

If you require surround, then we are talking about an Audio Video Receiver.
