Hello everyone,

I am currently in the process of trying to set up a digital menu display and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to simplify some of the wiring/streaming needs.

Here is what I currently have setup:

7 - 55" Toshiba TV's arranged horizontally along one long wall
5 will be used to display the menu items and the 2 remaining outside left/right tv's will be used for a scrolling slideshow and video.

I do not have a computer system available to solely dedicate to these displays so my thoughts were to use a simple USB thumb drive plugged in the back of each tv. To avoid some of the hassle of having to get up and down ladders and re-positioning each tv after an update, I was considering running extension cables to the far right or far left to hold all 7 USB thumb drives in an easy access, numbered setup.

Does this seem logical or would there be a simpler way? Perhaps a USB hub of some sort that can allow for 1 or 2 thumb drives with the information to feed to all 5-7 tv's?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Solution
I don't know of a hub that would work.
The USB drive idea would be one solution. Depending on how often you change menus it might be OK.
If the TVs are smart you could try using DLNA to play the video files from a PC or NAS over the network. Much easier to change the menu, slideshow, and video that way.
