I bought this laptop in 2007 and about a year or two later it just stopped working. Yesterday I took out the battery and put it right back in and powered it up no problem. when I try to get on the internet it says that the page has either stopped working or is unavailable. I've made sure that it is connected to the wifi and even disconnected it and connected it back and tried searching again. What do I do to fix this??

Well it is possible that the page you are trying to go to initially isn't actually available. It could also be restricted by your ISP.
I would suggest first trying a different browser and see if it works in that. If it does, the problem is your current browser. In that case the browser, since you haven't used the laptop in a long time, most likely needs some serious updating. Not to mention there would be a lot of updates for the laptop itself. Any of which can cause your problem.
